New Adventures
This past month has been quite an interesting one. I have begun student teaching in Ogden along with trying to keep my sanity. Let's just say my class is a little hard to handle at times. But I sure love them! (I have created a new page all about the stories in the classroom...) I have really enjoyed getting to know the children in the area. I wouldn't change a thing about my class! The only bad part is the adulting that has to take place now in my life. Everyday I get off around 4, head home, make a snack, plan then lay on my bed and watch Grey's Anatomy. Then do it all over again the next day. Adulting is hard.
So in the past month my little brother Haydon has left for his mission in Japan. I cannot believe he is old enough to be out serving the world. I love him to death! Him and Tanner (his best friend) see each other often in the MTC which is fabulous! To me those two are the monsters in the backyard making cannonballs in the hole they dug and filled with water. But they are young missionaries doing amazing things!
I also turned 22 years old!! My wonderful boyfriend, Nate, took me to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. Yes. This was my idea. I asked him if we could go and he was so excited that we bought matching Jurassic Park shirts. We then went to Prairie Schooners for dinner and ate in a covered wagon. Seriously like one of the greatest birthday's ever. Besides my 17th birthday... we had a tea party... Anyway! On my actual birthday we took a nice little hike and then had a picnic in my living room! I don't think I could have had it any other way. And yes. We listened to Taylor Swift multiple times because I sure was feeling 22! ;) Get it? So far 22 isn't too bad.

Until next time!

I remember barely having a life during student teaching too! Planning and netflix were practically all I did (and going to sleep early!) I also had another job in the evenings, so that was rough! I hope you're surviving and trying to enjoy yourself! Push through the hard times and focus on the great moments! Good luck!
